Allergy Research's NAC 500 mg 120 tabs
28.04
N-Acetylcysteine 500 mg 120 tabs New Size Same Price! An antioxidant closely related to L-Cysteine, being its acetyl derivative. Cysteine is important for homeostatsis, being a key antioxidant, a glutathione precursor, and a natural source of sulfur for metabolism. Yet L-Cysteine is unstable, and can become degraded while being absorbed. N-Acetyl Cysteine, on the other hand, is more stable than L-Cysteine and conveniently becomes converted into L-Cysteine after being absorbed. Thus NAC taken orally will raise blood and tissue cysteine levels. As a dietary supplement, NAC is therefore a highly attractive alternative to L-Cysteine. Ingredients: N-acetylcysteine 500 mg Suggested Use: 1 tablets 2-3 times daily.

Allergy Research's Niacin 250 mg 90 caps
12.90
ARG Niacin 250 mg 90 caps Hypoallergenic, no preservatives, diluents, chemical additives...from beef and pork sources CONTENTS: Niacin (B3) 250 mg USE: Take with meals, as directed by a physician. Also known as nicotinic acid, niacin is an essential nutrient, positioned at the core of NAD/NADH and NADP/NADPH, whch are major redox active "electron storage" compounds. One or both of these "redox pairs" is involved in every major biochemical pathway. They participate in the trafficking of electrons as "reducing equivalents," the electron packets that facilitate metabolism. WARNING: Niacin can cause skin flushing and tingling (the "niacin flush"). The use of niacin releases histamine from MAST cells, so for some individuals niacin may be contraindicated during the hay fever season. Niacin also can stimulate the release of stomach acid, which when uncontrolled may contribute to the initiation or exacerbation of ulcers. Thus THIS PRODUCT SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH. Large intakes of niacin also have been known to cause liver damage. DO NOT TAKE LARGE AMOUNTS OF NIACIN (greater than 1.5 grams per day) UNLESS UNDER THE CARE OF A PHYSICIAN.
