CamelBak Bottle Cleaning Brush Kit2-in-1 kit helps keep CamelBak bottles and valves clean. ,Works with all CamelBak water bottles, plus most other water bottles. Kit includes a wide brush and a narrow tip brush, both with long handles for fast, easy cleaning.BOTTLE CLEANINGAdd a drop or two of dish detergent to the bottle and fill half way with warm/hot water. Use wide brush to scrub interior, including under the rim. Rinse thoroughly. Air dry. Small brush works well for straws and other small parts, but CamelBak does not recommend forcing the brush through the Bite Valve slit.BITE VALVE AND STRAW CLEANINGPull off the Big Bite Valve and straw from the cap. Clean it in the top rack of the dishwasher or by hand with warm, soapy water. If you like to use a bottle brush, CamelBak does not recommend forcing a brush through the Bite Valve slit. For a deeper cleaning, add a drop of mild soap or tablespoon of bleach to a clean glass jar filled with water. Drop the bite valve, straw and cap into the solution, and tightly close the jar&rsquo,s lid. Shake the mixture around for 30 seconds, and then let the parts soak for about 15 minutes. Rinse and shake dry.To re-insert the Bite Valve into the cap:Flip the stem collar (the component the bite valve attached to originally) to the open position.Orient the bite valve so the finger tab points towards the front of the cap.Push the bite valve firmly onto the stem collar.About Camelbak, the companyIf you have found yourself ,wondering&mdash, with the unlimited amount of time you have reclaimed by texting instead of emailing&mdash, what CamelBak is ,really ,like, ,read through ,our mission statement and values.AN IDEA BORN FROM THE MOST BASIC HUMAN NEED &mdash, THIRSTIt's 1988.Bicycle enthusiast, Michael Eidson, is competing in the ",Hotter'N Hell 100.", And that's exactly what it is: a 100-mile road race in the grueling summer heat of Wichita Falls, Texas. Water is vital to surviving the race, and there are few places to refill a water bottle. Eidson, an emergency medical technician by trade, decides to fill an IV bag with water and slip it into a white tube sock. Yes, a tube sock. Then he stuffs the contraption into the back of his bike jersey, throws the thin hose over his shoulder and clamps it with a clothespin.Hands-free hydration is born. And Eidson is able to drink as he pedals...while the other racers laugh and fiddle with their water bottles.OPERATION HYDRATION &mdash, THE ROAD TO SURVIVALJeff Wemmer, a competitive cyclist who fell hard for CamelBak, was so impressed by the product that he started bringing packs to races to sell them. Talk about a fan. CamelBak eventually hired him, and in 1993, Jeff embarked on a road trip to keep the start-up running during very tough times.Company lore has it that ,Jeff visited bike shops from Florida to California, pitching our renegade product from the back of his motorcycle.
